Genre
Genre is a french word for 'type', in the music industry this means what type of music you are listening too. This can depend on the type of artist and there background.Genre is a category of artistic form, it is used to categorize something into one. For example in the music industry there are so many different types of artists and to not be able to section all of the different types of singing would be hard to handle. This is why music is based into different genre's. Pop, R&B, Jazz, Classic etc.

Press
The word 'press' in the music industry refers to a group of people, whether they are journalisms or a group of people trying to find out on a band that follow round people and try and question them and find out information. Some people find the press very aggressive and in your face.
